    Hello,

I just installed this plug in and noticed that the order notes that are inputted during checkout are not displayed in the section under orders and customer notes. I tried doing the same exact thing using the standard paypal in woocommerce and the notes showed up.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Ivy

Can you show me a screenshot of where you’re expecting to see the notes? The order notes from Express Checkout should be showing up in the WooCommerce order on the right side under the general notes section.

As you can see from the link below (you may have to zoom in to see it clearly) the first two I used my sandboxed paypal non-express and the order notes showed up. I am working on getting my website completed thus the use of the sandbox and all of these are fake orders that I made testing out the comments. My wife makes monogramed shirts and as you can see from the fifth image she expects them to put their initials for the shirts in the order notes area on the checkout page. When I use the paypal express you can clearly see how there are no Order notes or customer notes listed. I also tried a real test using my personal information and it did the same thing.

Two additional issues that I discovered today is that when I enable this plug in it moves the text in the proceed to check out button, please see the bottom two images in the link. It is no longer centered and when I disable the plug in it is centered. The second new issue is the cancel order button at the final review page. I am unaware of a way to check the final review page after I disable the plug in, but when it is enabled the text for the cancel order is several times larger than the place order button. I would personally like to make the place order button much more obvious.

    Thank you for your assistance,

Are you sure it’s not getting added in the right column notes? In the screenshot I think if you were to scroll down a little bit you would see the notes show up there.

We do have an issue in our GitHub repo already setup to move some stuff out of that right column and into any existing meta fields that WooCommerce offers. We’ll create some new ones, too, to make it a lot nicer to look at.

Again, though, I think those notes will be there, but just not where you’re expecting them to be. Look in the right column and see if they show up there please.

As for the issues with the proceed to checkout button, that is something that was affected with the WooCommerce 2.3 update and we’ve already addressed it in the development branch on GitHub. We’re just wrapping up final issues on the 1.1.6.3 milestone, and then we’re going to get the updated released which will tighten a lot of this stuff up. You can see that milestone already has 26 closed issues with 9 left to complete. We’ll get it done ASAP!

I’m going to close this thread for now, but just keep your eye on GitHub and look for updates which should resolve the issues you’re having. Of course, you can still respond here if you have more questions or concerns. Thanks!

    Hello again,

Please see the above mentioned link again. I have added two additional pictures to the bottom of the post. One is of the top of an real order that I paid using paypal express and the last picture is the bottom half which represents the entire order section of this transaction. I do not see any comments anywhere on this, but I hope I am overlooking them. While I do not remember the exact comment I typed it likely is something along the lines of temp, temporary, test and likely some variation of jhm. I was typing some random stuff but that was the general pattern as I was testing it. Please let me know your thoughts and I will be glad to provide any further information.

Thank you for assistance and prompt responses.

Yeah, I’m not seeing what I expect to see. That said, the notes I was thinking of were from when people enter notes on the PayPal review pages. This looks like you’re still using the WooCommerce checkout page as opposed to letting people checkout with PayPal directly from the cart page..??

I believe I have figured it out. I do not believe paypal express uses the checkout page and paypal does which would explain why that is picked up on paypal but not express. I have been thinking of possibly putting a text block on the product page and if I do so I would no longer be using the checkout page for the order notes so this would not be relavent.

I appreciate your prompt assistance with this, your customer service has been great.

    Thanks again
