How to add code to header.php, footer.php without editing theme?

  • I want to know that, are there any possibility to add php codes to theme funtion.php, header.php, footer.php etc files without editing the original file? Because I after updating the theme, I have to again add that custom php codes to funtion.php, header.php, etc files.
