The page is well optimized. To get rid of that “above the fold” problem you may consider a change of the content on the home page (e.g. lower the size of the 3 images or remove a bit of the padding around them).

I get the above the fold content thing regarding the social icons in the header. Not sure I can do anything about it so I accepted it

No. Is an option of the Customizr theme, which is different. Of course you can chose to not use. And it’s just about grabbing a google font… not a huge deal I think

Jetpack isn’t the problem. I have tried without jetpack and I have tried without plugins. “0” plugins.

I didn’t say it was a problem I just told you which blocking resources that tool was reporting for the desktop mode. One of them was a google-font, retrieved by the theme (optionally) using standard google apis, the other one was about jetpack, which is a plugin.

Cannot see the slider in your page now, I assume you removed it because of the issue you had, which is most likely due to a plugin misconfiguration (something related to the javascript optimizing + order)

not really sure which kind of error it gives you, but .. for example the “noscript” part has been removed in the latest version, already pushed on wp.org awaiting for review.
If the issue is about the “dummy image” .. "src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" well that’s like a placeholder used when you have the img smartload option, which btw increases the speed of your page, loading images on scroll.

Hi, the problem was in the option: loading images on scroll.

Load images on scroll
Check this option to delay the loading of non visible images. Images below the viewport will be loaded dynamically on scroll. This can boost performances by reducing the weight of long web pages with images. this item and all is right.
