Getting 404 error with new page creation

  • Hello all. The weirdest thing just happened. I created a new page and when I went to check it out, I got a 404 error. I have a good number of pages on my blog, and I created this one the same way I created all of the rest. I’m at a loss as to why this isn’t working.

    I don’t even know where to begin to tell you the particulars here, so I will just post the url for where the page should be and I’ll answer any and all questions you need to ask to help me out.

    No. The page status is published.

    I figured I would post some basic info to see if it would help with the diagnosis.

    I just upgraded in the last 3 weeks to WP 2.2.1
    My hosts’ server operating system is Linux running apache version 1.3.37 (Unix)

    I am using the Torn 2.0 + Widgets theme with the following plug ins activated:

    Democracy
    Enforce www. Preference
    Google Sitemaps
    SEO Title Tag
    Simple Tags
    Spam Karma 2
    WP-Contact Form
    WP-Admin Bar 2

    I can create and edit posts fine. I can edit pages with no problems. I just can’t create a new page.

    I’ve got my hosting company looking into this problem as well, but they want me to re-install WordPress. I am not sure that is the right thing to do.

    I have been looking through some other threads. Could I be having the same apache server issue as this person?

    Or could it be a re-direct problem like this person is having?

    I’m sorry to keep bumping this thread, but i am going crazy here trying to resolve this issue.
