Change the URL structure of Category Archives from the Category Widget?

  • I’m noticing an issue when trying to access Category Archives via AVH’s Category widget. My default permalink structure is set to post-name (and I have other plugins dependent on this permalink structure), but I notice that the URLs generated from the Category widget append the category’s ID variable instead.

    Is there any way to, for example, change the URL output such that it represents the slug and not the ID?

    The URL’s should just have the category.
    I have the same structure on my blog.

    The plugin uses a core function to display the categories names and URL.

    Only thing I can think of is another plugin or your theme messes with the permalinks.
