I have moved all the files of a development site to a root folder, but I’m unable to see the .htaccess file to move it to the new location.

I’m using Filezilla 3, and when I choose “force showing hidden files”, I get a dialog stating “Not that this feature is only supported using the FTP protocol”

I’m moving an installation on Yahoo. And after a long call with tech, I was able to log in via FTP using Filezilla. I normally use FireFTP, but it wouldn’t allow me to access Yahoo’s servers.

The FTP setting I’m using on Filezilla is “Use explicit FTP over TLS if avalable”.

Any ideas? I’m assuming I’ll have problems if I don’t move the .htaccess file over before I edit the URLs in the Settings > General tab.

My quote above should say “note that this feature is only supported using the FTP protocol”.

The only way I’ve been able to connect is using the “explicit FTP over TLS” setting. Isn’t this an FTP protocol?

Turns out that Yahoo doesn’t support .htaccess.

I will not work on Yahoo ever again.
