Does it matter that the non-www sitemap URL does not work?
-
Is this a problem for Google, or not? –
The Yoast sitemap works great for the regular www version of my URL iehttps://www.livenowlovenowhealnow.co.uk/sitemap_index.xml
But the non-www version is ?broken?, or at least different. The content is there but is not HTML/XML. Also, the individual sitemaps work fine eg
https://www.livenowlovenowhealnow.co.uk/sitemap_index.xml
but the non-www version is a blank page.
All the regular pages of the site work fine in both www and non-www versions, and I have created the equivalance between www and non-www in Webmaster Tools. Two questions:
(1) Is this normal that the sitemap URLs handle differently?
(2) If it is not normal, is it a problem eg for Google? Or for anything else? Many thanks
