403 Error in Editing/Moderating Comments

  • Can someone please help me with this strange problem:

    WordPress 2.2 has been working fine for like a long while until all of a sudden I am now unable to moderate or edit any comments. Simply put, I cannot access the moderation.php file and I can’t access the comments section in the admin panel.

    When I try to go to either of the two my web host displays what I think is a 403 error page (since I can see the numbers 403) before redirecting to its home page.

    I can access all other pages of wordpress fine except for the comments section. Please help.
