how to hide text under "read more" link

    hi,
    I need to know how I can hide the part of my text under “read more” link which will show the rest of text when somebody clicks it.

    I mean when I click “read more” it will show the rest of text on the same page without going anywhere. I want to do this to shorten the texts on pages cause long texts are making pages longer and longer, i want them to be as shor as possible

    In your post edit page you have the option to write a custom excerpt. If you don’t see the excerpt box you may need to select it from the screen options tab on the top right of the page.
    Is that what you mean?

    the text is not on post page the text is on regular page, it is a text introducing that very page,

    I need to hide some part of it under “read more..” so when it is clicked the text will expend and will show all

    That unfortunately isn’t an option in the theme. Read more in wordpress will act as a link to the post.
