Email support

  • I cannot seem to login into my wordpress site. It says my password is incorrect and when I request they send me a new one, it never shows up to my email. What is the reason for this, Im current travelling and in another country but that shouldn’t be a factor. Also is there no way to email wordpress for support???

    I’m afraid not. These support forums are volunteer staffed by people just like you.

    I request they send me a new one, it never shows up to my email.

    That could be for many reasons. Give this article a read, it contains methods for resetting your password that does not require a working WordPress login to your dashboard (obviously).

    If you have file level access then I find that this is the easiest way to do it.

    Thanks, I don’t seem to fully understand what to do at this point, I tried a few of the things suggested but still no access, why do they not just send me a new password as I requested?? This is beyond frustrating,

    I’m sorry about the frustration. There is “they” who can send you a new password since each WordPress site is an independent installation.

    Let’s see what else we can come up with, though. For starters, can you provide your website address?

    Also, please make sure to check your spam folder for the new password email that WordPress would send out. Sometimes when WordPress is not set up correctly, any emails sent by the system will end up in Spam.
