Show excerpt on home page

    I am trying to show post excerpts on home page & category page instead of full post. Have tried changing the Reading settings to summary. Please help. In which php file do I need to change the code?

    Hi, I would also like to know how to show excerpts instead of page content.

    I’m taking about the widget Image Services. You can have 6 pages on business page. Each showing a featured image plus the first words of the page. But I would like to show a feature image and an excerpt of a page.

    Is that possible?

    Just found out how to do it:

    1. Set excerpt

    Settings > Reading > For each article in a feed, show (set this to Summary)

    2. Write excerpts

    Write the excerpt for each page. If you do not see the Excerpt field click Screen options (top right when editing page) and click to show Excerpt field.

    3. Enjoy having excerpts on the screen

    And the Image Services widget will automatically show the excerpt.
