Great plugin, sad to report that I am getting the following error after updating the plugin:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in (my info removed)/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/wp-slimstat.php on line 902

This error screen pops up on everything on both sides of the site. The only way to make my site viewable again was to go into cpanel, and delete the plugin.

    Hopefully it’s an easy fix.

  • Yep, experiencing the exact same issue…
Deleted the plugin, not sure if all my data of the last months is gone now too…

Hi guys, what version of PHP do you have on your server? Please note that deleting the plugin through the WordPress admin WILL DELETE all the data as well (you will get a warning message on that page).

    Thank you,
    Camu

Oh well, should have expected to lose my data when deleting the plugin.
    Just checked my server info:
    PHP Version: 5.2.17
    MySQL Version: 5.5.40-36.1-log

Sorry to hear about your data loss. As for the error, Slimstat requires at least PHP 5.3 (see minimum requirements), just like WordPress itself. We are going to implement a workaround, which will make it compatible with PHP 5.2. It might take a few days, though.

In the meanwhile you can just deactivate the plugin (DO NOT UNINSTALL IT), or see if your provider can upgrade you to PHP 5.3 ??

How do I deactivate the plugin. I’m logged into the back end of WP

In my case there’s also an error, saying:

Fatal error: Access to undeclared static property: wp_slimstat_reports::$all_reports_titles in [MY PAGE SERVER PATH]/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat-dashboard-widgets/index.php on line 59

As a result I can’t even access the WP landing page.

In my case PHP5 version is also 5.2.17 but the provider declares PHP53 through PHP56 are also served. Does it change anything?

I just got this suggestion on the forum & can now access the site… Not a permanent fix.
    “just rename the /wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat folder”

Just updated to php 5.4.19 and tried updating slimstat another site of mine (on the same server).
Now my site is unaccesible with error Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/content/41/8280641/html/(siteinforemoved)/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/wp-slimstat.php on line 902
so I guess renaming/deleting slimstat through ftp is currently my only option ??
Hopefully I can keep the data on this site…
Guess I’ll have to wait for a stable version then…

I got the same error after the update, and it wouldn’t let me access the plugin screen to be able to deactivate it. I deleted the plugin folder via ftp, and everything worked again. I then reinstalled 3.9.9 but got the same error at that point as well.

Than you for your patience, all. Renaming the folder (no need to delete it) will do the trick for now. We are going to release a patch in the next few hours. If you don’t UNINSTALL the plugin, your data will be safe.

For my part, since the upgrade, I’m unable to access my admin panel and my website is unavailable.

Note: my “server provider” is up to date and quite serious. I don’t expect any problem from there.

Edit: my “server provider” has renamed the Wp SlimStat folder and, indeed, all works fine.

Great, sorry again for the inconvenience. It’s going to be fixed in the next few hours.

    I get the error:

Warning: array_diff() [function.array-diff]: Argument #1 is not an array in /home…./wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/view/wp-slimstat-reports.php on line 501

Warning: Cannot use a scalar value as an array in /home/…./wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/view/wp-slimstat-reports.php on line 501

    Hi,

since update in the morning, i see only old visitors before update.

What should i do? Newest PHP, MYQSL, WP

    Thanks

Installed the new update and now I can’t access my admin page !! I get the following error –

Fatal error: Access to undeclared static property: wp_slimstat_reports::$all_reports_titles in /home3/bigjake3/public_html/royalnugget/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat-dashboard-widgets/index.php on line 59

    Why ??
