Can not create Button

Hi Alexander,

I heard this problem before but I can’t reproduce it yet. Could you please :

– check in the database if ‘wp_maxbuttonsv3’ exists?
– check if you get any errors

If not please post the PHP and Mysql version you are using ( you can find it under support in plugin, the texarea in the bottom ).

I am not getting any errors. The table maxbuttons_v3 exists, however I am using a custom database prefix, that could be a problem.

Thanks for that. The prefix shouldn’t be a problem since the plugin uses the usual prefix WP function internally, it’s just easier to write in support. To be sure I just tested it as well, and it works here.

I take it in your WordPress install you are able to add and edit posts / pages ?

I Tried it again, It worked when I didn’t use a space as the Name

That’s good news, but leaves me a little stupified. Do you have any clue as to what it could’ve been? In any case let me know if sometimes stops working again!

I don’t get it either, the name worked with “test” instead of “my button”. I think it was the space.

I don’t think so since I can create buttons with spaces in it. For now all people who reported this problem also said that after a while it went on working again. Also I’m pretty sure it’s some database issue when it fails.

To add, in case people find this topic later on. One instance of this issue was resolved because the database table was in ‘innodb_forced_recovery’ mode. So checking your database, repair table, eventually delete the table ( backup first ! ) and restart the plugin might all solve the problem.

For a next version I’ll look into giving some sort of error message when this happens.

I don’t know MasterSlider but does it support adding shortcodes into slides? If so then it should work.
