UpdraftPlus is not working in my website

The log file has this:

0107.677 (0) The attempt to close the zip file returned an error (File Size Limit Exceeded).

This means that your web hosting company has set a limit on the maximum file size that can be created with the zip. Are you with Strato? They’re the only web hosting company I’ve come across who do this. To work around it, use a zip engine, by placing this near the top of your wp-config.php:

define(‘UPDRAFTPLUS_NO_BINZIP’, true);

Thank you very much for your answer. Indeed, the server is Strato. I tried to change the config.php but did not work on several occasions. Finally, I changed the size of the split files 25 mb. The process ended and generated a log file. Could you tell me if everything is correct?

Hi, I have the same problem but it does not change anything when I put: define(‘UPDRAFTPLUS_NO_BINZIP’, true);
behind <?php

Is there an other solution?

It works for me with Strato. I put it just above the first ‘define’ in the wp-config file.

I`m having the same issue ( Godaddy hosting ) for so many sites. Adding the define(‘UPDRAFTPLUS_NO_BINZIP’, true); did not work.

I have the same issue with Backup Buddy.

I found out that images folder and size seems to influence results.
Various sites with the same plugins and themes respond different. They all use about 10MB memory.
For some I need to reduce the zip to 25MB. Others worked well with the 400MB or 500MB default. I transfer to a private FTP site.
