does not import even sample files provided

    I have been struggling for a long time trying to get this to work with my own csv file and then decided to just test the sample files provided with this plugin.

    I get the same errors:

    Skipped 4 posts (most likely due to empty title, body and excerpt).
    Imported 0 posts and 0 comments in 0.00 seconds.

    it appears this plugin does not work with the latest versions of WordPress

    Same problem. Shame as it worked well for a long time.

    I use this plugin on 2 sites a long time.
    After update WP to 4.4 one of them stops working. ((

    Does anybody manage to find out what’s wrong?

    Yes, I have it working locally now. I’m just waiting for www.remarpro.com to approve the new name so I can upload it. There is a massive backlog of approvals waiting to be processed.

    You can try this in the meantime, but do be aware that I suspect the next release may be a different name (which should not be an issue, as the plugin does not store configuration data):

    That fixes a specific issue with empty Post Excerpts which prevented importing. There may be other issues lurking, but we won’t know what they are without trying it out and looking at test CSV data.

    I think only @nomad-one or the project owner can close it. We have no idea, however, if this fixes the same problem as the original poster had. “Works for me”, may be good enough though.

    @rolf deck Technically this issue isn’t solved, the original CSV Importer plugin is still broken with WP 4.4.

    Jason has created a new fork, which will be a separate plugin.

    But, @jason Judge fork works for me. I have tested this on my production site (wp 4.4) and this is working.

    That link you posted goes to a 404 page for me – have you taken the plugin down? If so, is there any way I could get a copy? I use this on a couple of live sites which I ideally need to update to WordPress 4.4.
