Punctuation removed from WordPress blog when posting permalink to Facebook

    When I paste a permalink from a page in my wordpress blog into my Facebook page as a post, the title and image show beautifully but the few lines of copy beneath have all punctuation removed (full stops, commas and sometimes spaces) and some of the coding displays.
