HELP! Password Retrieval Problems

    I have looked everywhere on the forum for an answer with no luck and i have tried everything i could

    My last hope is support here in the forum

    PROBLEM: I cant login to wordpress i know my username and password BUT i still cant login.

    VERSION OF WORDPRESS: 2.1.3

    HERE IS WHAT I HAVE TRIED

    1) CHANGE PASSWORD IN WORDPRESS FROM “YOUR PROFILE” TAB

    RESULT: I still cannot login in with that password

    2) USING THE AUTOMATIC EMAILER

    https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

    RESULT: I did not receive an email from wordpress

    3) THROUGH PHPMYADMIN

    RESULT: After following all the steps. It did not help

    4) EMERGENCY PASSWORD RESET SCRIPT

    RESULT: I did get sent an email but i still could not login
    to https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php

    Please help

    Youre confusing your own blog login with the login at wordpress.com — they arent the same (assuming you have a blog since the site in your profile is nothing but spam).

    I am only using USERNAME: seductionblog to make ths post in the forum BECAUSE I CANT LOGIN TO USERNAME: Seduction

    Assistence with this problem would be appreciated

    I have the same problem but I am unsure of my username also. I have tried using the emergency recover but after I have uploaded it, I visit the address suggested but nothing happens, what am I doing wrong? Thank you.

    Learn to read carefully! Whooami posted the answer for you: you are confusing at least 3 (three) different things:

    1. The username/pw combo for your own blog:
    https://www.seductionreviewed.com/blog

    2. The username/pw combo in this forum (located at www.remarpro.com)

    3. Your username/pw at the wordpress.COM (if you have an account there)

    They are not the same, and have nothing to do with each other, so until you figure out what are you looking for – we cannot really help!

    I am having a similar problem only I know that mine is a problem with accessing the dashboard for my blog on my website.

    I know my username and password and it worked a few weeks ago but not recently, when I access the wp-login.php page I enter the details and get an error “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” – there is a customised 404 page on my site but I get the IE7 error page.

    I have other usernames and passwords as you have mentioned but its the blog one I am having problems with. FTP access to my site indicates that all is ok there.

    If I ask for another password it says that I can’t be found on the database but I am not sure what my username is for my blog – it doesn’t appear to be the same as for support.

    Oh my golly. Please re-read Moshu’s post right over yours.

    Now, if you have your own WordPress blog, running software from www.remarpro.com on your own host, the odds are really really good that you have a user named “admin”.

    Knowing that, and visiting the Resetting_Your_Password page in the codex will get you rolling.

    www.remarpro.com credentials are NOT the same as WordPress.COM credentials are NOT the same as your own blog credentials.

    Thanks HandySolo I did read it several times and I do realise that there are different passwords – I actually don’t think I need to reset the password. If it was wrong surely it would say it was wrong – I just get a blank page!

    The problem is “when I access the wp-login.php page I enter admin/password and get an error “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” – this isn’t a password error – is it?

    I am having a similar problem –I have reset my pw multiple times and it still won’t let me in.
