Feature request: specify event author by email instead of username

  • Here’s the thinking behind my request – few people besides the webmaster (me) need to log into our site. I am the person who creates all of the events, but I am not the event author. As a result, each time I create an event that requires registration, I need to create a login for the event author, so that s/he is the person who receives the registration emails. It would be much easier if I could specify an email address for the author instead of a username.

    Go to the list of upcoming events. Click on an event to edit it. The event author is the next to last item on the page. If you have event registration enabled, the author is the user who receives notification emails each time someone registers for the event.
