Jetpack 3.5.3 never downloads through plugin manager

When trying to install Jetpack on a very fresh WP site, all I see is this. It never moves from this. I’ve already deactivated all plugins.

That may happen if your hosting plan doesn’t have enough resources to download and unzip the plugin folder. Could you try to install the plugin manually as explained here:

To install the plugin, you can go to Plugins > Add New in your dashboard, and search for Jetpack.

If you’re having trouble installing it, or get an error message when you do so, could you please start your own thread and let us know what message you get?
