Failed to connect to www.remarpro.com since updating to 4.2.1

Hi, I don’t know what exactly happened, but our site has refused to connect to WP since the 4.2.1 update, prior to that the site worked fine, we used to be able to run jetpack but since the update we got “the Your siteurl option is set up as https://nerdipop.co.za, but your WordPress.com connection lists it as 0!
Your home option is set up as https://nerdipop.co.za, but your WordPress.com connection lists it as 1!” error

we also have the RSS error’s:
RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: Failed to connect to www.remarpro.com port 80: Connection timed out

RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: Failed to connect to planet.www.remarpro.com port 443: Connection timed out

other than not being able to connect to wordpress for Jetpack everything else seems fine. if anyone has any advice I would appreciate it. I did read there is a fix by uploading the old 4.2 wordpress files but I can’t find them anywhere.
