Upload file permissions

  • I have tried to enable file upload, but WP tells me this:
    It doesn't look like you can use the file upload feature at this time because the directory you have specified (/home/public_html/blog/wp-content) doesn't appear to be writable by WordPress. Check the permissions on the directory and for typos.
    What needs to be done? How do I make it writeable for WP?
