WP site has been wiped, not sure how it happened or how to fix it

Okay! Where do I start.
My mom is working on a wordpress site hosted by Bluehost. She asked me to help her with some changes that she wanted that she didn’t know how to do herself. Let’s be clear, I know nothing about wordpress or site hosting, but I’m more tech savvy than my mother which is why I was assigned this task.
So I get home and try and log in (which is from a different location and computer) and the log in info does not work. I tried multiple times using the correct login info, while on the phone with my mom and it still didn’t work. So then I reset her password from my computer and log in, and once I did, everything was reset back to the default starting wordpress page. All of her posts and pictures are gone. I have no idea what to do, I do not know anything of this subject, and my mom is crying because her site is gone. Any help would be appreciated.
