Display recent posts in a page

  • Hello,

    I am using latest version of the theme. I want to create a page to display recent posts (say from last 15 or 30 days). Is there a shortcode or in-built theme function that I can use to display that?

    I know in the Alxtabs widget, it has recent post that does the same thing. So I pretty sure there is existing code that can be used in the page.

  • Hi wp169. There isn’t a built-in theme shortcode of function to accomplish that type of post filtering. The AlxTabs widget allows you to select the number of posts, but not a days-in-the-past option. You could copy archive.php and modify the loop. Or perhaps create a function to filter the posts based on a “days ago” criteria. Or you might take a look at the WordPress Popular Posts plugin. Looks like it has the functionality you’re looking for.
