Some gallery thumbs don't work after update

@turbo2ltr – Thumbnails served from the “dynamic” folders are those that have been modified from the “original” otherwise the original thumbnail will be served.

That being the case, see real URL for examples would prove much more useful than generic URL examples.

@turbo2ltr – Please try using something other than the “Default” WordPress Permalinks such as “Post name” or “Month and name” as much better alternatives.

You may need to clear the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous after changing your Permalinks.

I’m not sure what you mean. The gallery page is a page, not a post.

Are you saying change page_id=83 to “/gallery”?

didn’t make any difference.

Turns out the galleries that were missing their thumbs didn’t have 777 permissions. When you tell the plugin to regenerate thumbs in the gallery interface, it would be nice to have a check and error displayed if it can’t actually write the thumbnails instead of making it look like it completed successfully. It would have saved me HOURS of work.

@turbo2ltr – The folder and file permissions should be inherited from the /wp-content/ folder which should allow NextGEN Gallery to operate correctly. Please ensure your gallery folders and files are inheriting permissions equivalent to 0755 and 0644 respectively.
