• I’ve left posts in existing threads but to no avail.

    After upgrading to 2.2.2, Tinymce not only doesn’t work but posts uploaded using Marsedit for example, work just fine but once loaded into Tinymce they get corrupted and have to be deleted.

    I tried installing the WSYIWYG editor plugin but it doesn’t work properly either (same errors as the one listed below), so I think the problem is JAVA-related as the same messages come up when you do a mouseover one of the buttons eg,

    javascript:tinyMCEexecinstancecommand(‘mce_editor_0′)’mceImage’,true);

    Selecting a word and choosing bold for example, or any of the other commands does nothing.

    If I switch to the code option, all the content is presented as one, giant block of text with no CRs. Editing in this mode looks fine until you preview it and it’s obvious that none of the editing took effect.

    BTW, I’m using Safari 3.03 on a G4 Powerbook Titanium OSX 10.4.10. I’ve tried switching to Firefox and no dif.

    Okay, I switched to the latest Firefox and the editor works! It must be Safari that’s causing the problem.

    FYI: I think the problem is definately Java-related which explains why the Marsedit posts worked.

    I just downloaded WP 222 and I’m experiencing a similar problem in both Safari and Firefox.

    All I see is a series of buttons (similar to what are on the reply section on this page) however all other documents I’ve read suggest there is a (tab structured) menu instead – some other plugins require this to work.

    So how do I get this to behave correctly?

    You turn it on.

    Users -> Your Profile. Check the top checkbox.

    (I’m not really sure how well it works with Safari…)
