Featured image not showing up on main page

Once you have your post ready, on the right side on PUBLISH you have the option of Visibility, just click on make your post a “sticky post” and then it will get the post looking like it does in the demo (you will have a main featured image). These links should help further.

shoestringduo – thanks for helping out. Just a note that the “new editor” screenshot of mine that you found isn’t applicable here since that’s a WordPress.com-specific feature and the OP is running a self-hosted site. ??

Yes I got the sticky issue sorted. Very simple in the end.
