Plugin stopped working

We have this same problem. Ever since we upgraded to 4.2.2., we and our users have been having trouble inserting images into comments. We are using the Worpress commenting system, and a plug-in called “Comment Image”. Before 4.2.2., we and our users could insert images into comments but now it fails more than 50% of the time. The failures do not seem to be related to the size of the image file. We get an error message that says: “The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator for https://www.inner-sanctuary.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”
We have contacted Bluehost and they can find no server problems. Is there a possible conflict between Comment Image and 4.2.2? Comment Image was working fine for us from October 2014 until a few weeks ago when we upgraded to 4.2.2. We have tried to contact the developer of Comment Image but got no response. Should we consider going back to 4.2.1 or an earlier version? Is that even possible?

This kind of error:

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request

is logged on the error.log file of the server with explanations. Ask the provider to look at it or to give it to you so I ca see the real error.

^ was the Most recent error we got after doing some tests

We changed PHP memory limit to 256M.
Changed server from FCGI to SuPHP and back to FCGI.
And Created the 404.shtml page into /home/marlieis/public_html/innersanctuary/404.shtml

I have tried to post the error log here but it does not appear to be working.

I tried to post half of the error log but that did not work either. Is there some other way I can send you the log?

I also just tried to post the error log on satollo.net. Let me know if you see it. I think it might be in your “moderation” queue.

I also sent the error log to [email protected]. Please let me know if you get it.

I replied privately. Anyway the relevant error are the one related to wp-comments-post.php but there is not reason explained for those errors in the log file…

Problem fixed for me! My problem was with the server. I had to add a piece of code to my .htaccess file to tell Apache to allow up to 5MB to be uploaded to the server.
