This a known bug with the 2.12* branch. 2.13 will be released in the next 24 hours and will fix this bug.

    Apologies for any inconvenience caused!

    Thank you!!

It was a real pain to have to delete the event just because I put in the wrong dates, and then to do it again, because I didn’t set the time properly.

I think your plugin is perfect for what we need. I so do appreciate that it doesn’t have all the overhead (or complexity) of some of the other ones.

    Look forward to the update.

    Hi GR8FL,

You’re welcome. Just to let you know 2.13.0 was released yesterday. If you have any events that were affected by this bug, try updating them (make sure you untick the edit occurrences checkbox if the event is not a single event).

If this problem reappears, just let me know.

Thank you. I updated the plugin, and will let you know how its working when I get a chance to test.

    Appreciate your fast response.

Just updated, but I experience the same problems as described above.

Also the single event page lists both startdates and enddates as starts, in other words: A two day event with custom occurence, 5- 6 may and another occurence 10-11 may is listed as four separate events with startdates 5, 6, 11 and 12.

    Is this the same bug?

    Best regards, Frank

    Hi Frank,

Can you post a detailed step-by-step guide of how to reproduce this bug? For example I did the following:

    1. Choose start date 12-05-2015
    2. Choose end date 13-05-2015, and all-day
    3. Select ‘custom’ recurrence
    4. Open datepicker. 12th is pre-selected. Select 17th.
    5. Save event, and view.

I would expect to see the 12th and 17th listed as the event’s (start) dates on the single event page. This is what appears.

Try the above on a new event to see if you can replicate the problem. If you can’t return to the offending event and try updating it, ensuring no extra dates are selected. You’ll need to check the ‘edit occurrences’ checkbox.

If you can replicate the problem, please detail the steps to reproduce here and I’ll get back to you!

Hi, thanx for a quick reply – big ups!

However I can not save any changed values for times/dates, it just keeps the first ones when the event was created.
Only way to bypass this is to delete the event and the add it agian as new event. That can′t be right, can it?

    Best regards, Frank

Tried your method on a new event at that works. But why not with an edited event where I want to add new dates?

When you edit the existing event, can you remove the dates using the add / remove occurrences? Does that work, or do those removed dates still appear?

I’m afraid not, no changes are saved when editing an existing event.

There is another issue as well, which I doscovered when I created a new event. I’m not sure if it’s related to above, or if it is the swedish translation:
If a two day event has a first period of 5-6 may, and then another period from 17-18 may,
the event details on the single event page states that the event spans from May 5 to May 17.
Thats not really correct, it is two separate events; may 5-6 and may 17-18.

It might just be a bad translation, or what would you say? Do I mess things up by having mutltiple day events with custom occurancies?

Frank, could you get in touch via this contact from: wp-event-organiser.com/contact? Will need to dig a bit deeper.

The text is correct but perhaps misleading (and maybe more so with the Swedish translation). The event repeats from the 5th until the 17th. That wording would make more sense for a more regularly repeating event but the general for is: “This event repeats from {first start date} to {end start date}. It next occus on {next start date}”.

That text is in the event-single-event-meta.php template and can be changd there as requires.

Hi again, actually the wording in any language should maybe say… nothing ??
Maybe just a list with the dates.
    12-13 may
    17-18 may
    13-14 july

No need for translation other than the date formats.
It would suit me fine, but you may have other suggestions?

    Best regards, Frank
BTW, I also contacted you via the link above.

The event templates are editable ??

I’ve just replied to your email.

I am importing from a google calendar with the iCal sync plugin add-on.

I have googled endlessly and have tried so many revisions to the php templates to get the event dates and times to change to the correct format but nothing has worked.

    Page in reference:
    https://www.stmarksarlington.com/events/

    Issue:
    Date : 2015-06-25 — would like the date to be ‘m d, Y’
    Time : 13:30:00 — needs to be 12hr format for GMT -05:00

I have all of the settings within the Organiser to reflect the formats wanted but they are unaffected.

However, the dates and times in the single event view are formatted correctly.

Am I missing something or could this be a bug?
