I don’t think it works on a category basis, and in the restriction section i also can’t find anything.

Isn’t is possible with some php? , like:

If user logged in, show all posts
else
show all posts except posts from category ID x ?

And when you’re not logged in a message appears for the posts from category ID x, like: You have to be logged in to see this post.
