WP Social Meta section missing on blog-posts?

    hi there,

    I have just installed this plugin and it does the job fine for PAGES however on my posts (blog section of my site), when I go and edit the posts, I don’t have the WP Social Meta section, as in the Pages.

    on the posts I end up with

    <meta itemprop=”description” content=””/>
    <meta itemprop=”image” content=””/>

    <!– for Facebook –>
    <meta property=”og:title” content=”” />
    <meta property=”og:type” content=”article” />
    <meta property=”og:image” content=”” />
    <meta property=”og:url” content=”” />
    <meta property=”og:site_name” content=””/>
    <meta property=”og:description” content=”” />

    <!– for Twitter –>
    <meta name=”twitter:card” content=”summary”>
    <meta name=”twitter:url” content=””>
    <meta name=”twitter:title” content=””>
    <meta name=”twitter:description” content=””>
    <meta name=”twitter:image” content=””>

    so it works but it’s all empty. what’s wrong?

    I’m having the same issue w/ 4.1, but w/ pages. My home page is a static page and I’m getting the same output when i view the source. So it’s not reflecting the information I added in the admin panel.

    Any luck getting it to work gab?

    hi Nicky,

    hmhmm that sounds a bit different than mine, sounds like you put the data from the admin, but that is not reflected on the live site, have you cleared your cache if you have any?

    for me, pages work OK both from admin and on the live site, but I don’t get the WP Social Meta section at all on posts-admin and on the live site the tags are empty (which makes sense as I cannot input from the admin). are you getting the WP Social Meta section on the posts (blog) from the admin at all?

    have you selected under Settings > Reading Settings what is your main Static page?

    ok it’s official I am going to delete this plugin, I noticed that with the plugin turned on then I cannot attach images to my posts or pages, disabled it, works bye bye.. too bad since it was a decent plugin, if only the author would fix it properly.

    Yeah I gave up on it as well. If you find a better solution let me know.

    Sorry for late reply, I have fixed this issue. Now it’s working with post and pages upto 4.2.2 version
