Permalinks overwritten by EasyTestimonial

Hey Darryl!

Are you using any other plugins, such as a Visual Composer, that would be rendering Testimonials?

My guess is that, if you are, the Loop has not been reset by the time you click update and so the Permalink is being changed. That is just a guess, though, and would need to be confirmed.

To resolve this, I’ll need to know what your WordPress setup is so that I can attempt to reproduce on my end, at which point we can patch it.

Yours is, so far, the only report I’ve received of this behavior (I think), but I definitely want to check it out!

I am using the Blaszok theme with Visual Composer, latest version.

Please let me know what is causing it and what I can do. Every time I edit a page containing the plugin shortcode, the permalink changes.

I’m having trouble seeing in your video — are you using our shortcode anywhere in that page?

The text is a little blurry but I didn’t see a Testimonial on that page — it looks like I see a [show-team…] shortcode in there, though.

I do see the Permalink change — can you show me the Testimonial this Permalink is associated with? Are you sure it isn’t actually something to do with this [show-team shortcode? The new permalink does look like a person’s name, and I don’t see our shortcode, which is why I ask.

Sorry, was on a page that uses a Teams shortcode – but apparantly the issue exits there too. Here is a video of it happening with the EasyTestimonals short code:

So it may be a generic problem but can you suggest any way to fix it?
