Hi there! I designed a site for a photography client using the ProPhoto theme. They also use Tave for their client management. One of the things they didn’t like about Tave was having their contact page direct to a Tave page outside of their site, so they contacted Tave to ask how I could embed a form directly into their site instead. Tave directed them to Contact Form 7 or Gravity Forms with Tave integrations as the only options for embedding.

I liked CF7 better, especially since it’s free, so I got the form up and running on their site. The form works great and sends them emails with the info. But it’s not pulling any info at all into Tave even though I have the correct ID and key assigned. I went back to this page and saw that the FAQs say the integration plugin doesn’t work with ProPhoto. I just wanted to see if this is the cause (hoping maybe it’s an outdated answer?) or if you can possibly make some kind of update to make it work with ProPhoto.

We are SO CLOSE to having what they need working for them if we can just get the info to pull into Tave. Please help! ProPhoto and Tave are both very popular amongst photographers, so it would be such a shame if they can’t work together.

BTW, I contacted both ProPhoto and Tave, and neither had any insight to offer.

The page on the site I’m referring to is https://www.jameshillphoto.com/contact/.

(If you click Contact from the nav menu at this time, it will still direct you to the outside Tave page so they aren’t having to do everything manually while we wait to straighten this out.)

    THANK YOU in advance!!! ??

It appears you have the page working. The answer in regards to prophoto not working is for those who always ask about the built in form with prophoto template. Many don’t understand they have to turn off the built in form and use the contact form 7 one instead. It does look as though you have a working contact page for your client now. I am glad you were able to get it up and running.

You should just change the menu link to the page you have working now.

If the client is receiving the email from tave that theres a new lead in the system then the plugins are working.

if you still cannot figure it out, on the contact form 7 plugin settings page for the tave extension there is more detail about whats happening if you scroll down after the secret key and studio id area. It will tell you information about the connection with tave, if there was one and if there are errors.

    hope this helps.

I had another look at the form you have created for your client with contact form 7, it would appear you have incorrect form field ID’s and names. Please refer to this: https://www.rowellphoto.com/tave-contact-form-plugin/

there are great examples there to get started with.

The tave database requires a first name and a last name field, separate not joined. It also requires a jobtype field too. Again, take a peek at the link above and compare what you have with what I have for examples and you will quickly identify where the issues are.

Thank you so much – I got everything working! I did have JobType in there, but after going back over everything for the 1000th time, I noticed I did in fact have a couple of the Tave codes wrong, so it wasn’t sending anything at all to Tave. I just wasn’t familiar enough with Tave to know all the exact codes we needed. Thank you for being prompt in your response and helping me get where I needed to be. ??
