• I have avoided updating WPeC because the shipping and tax issues were never resolved. Because of security issues, WP performed an automatic update of this plugin so now I must find a solution.

Store URL (if not provided we can’t help much): https://creditsbeforecollege.com/products-page/store/
    WordPress version: 4.1.3
    WP eCommerce version: 3.9.3
    Gold Cart version:
    Theme: WP-Prosper

I have two categories of purchases. Workshops (non tax, no shipping) and books (tax and shipping). When checking out books (taxable only in MN, but always a flat $4 shipping no matter where), items are added correctly to the cart, but the shipping and tax calculations are not correct. The page says:

    Calculate Shipping Price
Please specify shipping location below to calculate your sales tax costs.
    Tax $5.34
    Total Shipping: $4.00
    Total Price: $84.29

    1. The heading is titled “Calculate Shipping”
    2. The next item instructs purchases to specify a location (but does not provide a field to do so)
    3. It instructs purchasers to specify a shipping location to calculate sales tax but the heading is “Calculate Shipping”

Where to begin to fix this! I spent days upon days with tech support (a year ago) when they did a complete revamp of this plug in and the end solution was to reinstall the old version. I need a solution this time.

  • I checked the link and tried to checkout. I was able to select “calculate” after I choose the state.

I’m sorry I did not update my issue with the current status. Here’s the latest snag if you have any ideas:

When I try to modify >Store Settings >Checkout >Checkout Form Fields
I select a form that has been in use, select FILTER to edit it, and the page defaults back to >Store Settings.

I was collecting information in this form that is not in the default checkout form so customers are having to enter it twice (when registering for a workshop).

Any ideas how I can modify the form? I tried creating a new one, but I can’t get into it because it always defaults back to the >Store Settings page.
