Event List – Dynamic??

Is it possible to have a dynamic event list. where the end user can change the teams with a drop down of some sort and then it will change the list. I have 165 Clubs which each have 3 teams (this is over 3 major cups divided into regions so it works out to about 10/11 teams per region per cup). Does that mean that I have to make 495 calendars(fixtures/results (1 for each team in each club)
I know about the AJAX dropdown plugin but this still seems a bit much. Isn’t there an alternative to this as mentioned above?
