• When using wp-stats.php by Andy Skelton for WordPress.com Stats, I’m having the following problem.

I have a blog set up at timothysburden.com & the stats work just fine for it.

I also have a blog at a knowingtheyhwh.timothysburden.com which is where the trouble is. It’s owned by a friend of mine, and when using his wordpress.com API key, the error is thrown that the blog has already been linked to my wordpress.com — which it hasn’t. When we tried my API key, it started displaying timothysburden.com stats in the dashboard — apparently the subdomain is not recognized!!

Why is that? Is there a workaround?

  • Howdy. Please check the blog url and site url settings on your friend’s options page. I suspect they are timothysburden.com when they should be knowingtheyhwh.timothysburden.com.

Andy, I had that same suspicion and verified it before posting here. I even hardcoded both the Blog & Site URLs within wp-config.php so there wasn’t any question about it.

    :\

(I’m enjoying the stats immensely on a handful of other blogs, though. Great job!)

Anyone have any ideas on what I can check to see why this isn’t working?

    Are more details needed?
