• Hoping someone can help me.

I’m working on a clients site and they have woocommerce and the wishlist plugin installed.

The wishlist plugin was asking for an update but when updating the plugin the WordPress update screen told me the update had failed. When I checked the plugin had been partially deleted from the plugins folder (some folders remained). I then renamed the wishlist plugin folder and this allowed me to then install and enable the latest version of the plugin.

However the WordPress admin pages now show “YITH WooCommerce Wishlist is enabled but not effective. It requires Woocommerce in order to work.” at the top.

The WooCommerce plugin is installed and working on the site but the wishlist plugin does not seem to be integrated into WooCommerce (the wishlist tab is not visible form the woocommerce settings pages).

I’ve tried removing the plugin completely and re-installing but always get the same message at the top of the admin pages.

I’m guessing this has something to do with the bad upgrade first time round.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Ultimately I want the latest version of the plugin to be working on my clients site.

    Thanks,
    Mark.

    Quick update on this problem.

I’ve re-installed the version of WishList that was there before the update went wrong and the problem has gone away, although the plugin page is asking me to upgrade the plugin again.

From a quick code review it seems the latest version of the plugin has code to check for WooCommerce and the previous version doesn’t.

As mentioned, WooCommerce is installed and working and so I still don’t know why the upgrade of woishlist plugin doesn’t work.

    Hi Mark,

can you plese specify with version of woocommerce plugin is installed on your server?

The new version of the plugin makes a check over “WC” function existance, available with WooCommerce from 2.1.x revision

You can simply remove the check, commenting line 111 of the file init.php, but if you’re using an outdated version of WooCommerce, I would recommend to update both plugin

Let me know if this helps with your problem

    Have a nice day ??
