My site has disappeared!

  • I was trying to create a subdomain so I loaded WP into a new directory (APPARENTLY THIS IS WRONG!) Then I checked my main site (https://www.autumn-sky.org) and it’s GONE. I have no idea what has happened, I didn’t touch anything! Please, someone help me!!!

  • You can login with https://www.autumn-sky.org/wp-login.php
    You can create as many subdomains as you want but you need to use either a unique database or prefix when you do or you might install on top of the previous database.

    I know I can login there, but then what?

    um, find out what is wrong. My guess is that you installed the subdomain site using the same database and prefix as the first. Can you manage any of your original content, is it even there? Does the other site work and have some of the same content the original did? Change themes, etc.

    When you installed the second copy of wordpress did you change the table prefixes or use a seperate mysql database?
