I have a question and hope it doesn’t come off as confusing.

Before using this plugin, I used to post my podcasts on a section of my site “Videos”. You can view this here: https://queenstribune.com/. (scroll towards bottom.

I would like to be able to continue posting the podcast that way, but whenever I do, I get duplicate episodes on my podcast. Is there anyway to work around that so I can still post those on the “video” section?

    Thanks so much!

Because I don’t know how your ‘Videos’ section was setup or created, there’s no way I can really answer this question unfortunately. I’ll need some more info (and possible some screenshots) in order to be able to help you here.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

    Here is a screenshot: https://queenstribune.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/screenshot.jpg

I used to post all podcasts this way, using the category “videos” and it would show up on my homepage (towards the bottom “video” section).

I would like to be able to continue posting that way, without having duplicate podcasts show up in my itunes feed.

    Hope this makes sense.

This was before I installed this plugin.

So it sounds like you would like to use all of your posts that are in the category ‘videos’ as your podcast episodes. Is that correct?

If so, then simply go to the podcast settings and select ‘posts’ as one of the podcast post types then, when you create a new post you will see the podcast episode fields available on the edit screen. From there you simply need to add the audio file, etc. like you normally would and then that post will become a podcast episode. If you only do that for posts in your ‘videos’ category then this will all be working as you need it to.

    Hope that helps!

    Cheers,
    Hugh
