Make mega menu dropdown behave like a responsive menu

    Hi,

    I noticed that the big mega menu dropdown behaves the same way on a desktop and mobile devices. Is it possible to make the big dropdown behave like other items in the hamburger menu, e.i. so that they respond on click/touch and not hover, menu items become full width and it’s just suitable for viewing on mobile devices (as it is advertised on the maxmegamenu website).

    Hi Luqo,

    Thanks for the suggestion. The way it works on maxmegamenu.com is the intended behaviour (mega panels reduce down to 2 column layout, flyout menu’s show as individual items) but automatically switching mega panels to the flyout menu style for mobiles sounds like a good idea (although not so easy to implement). I’ll add it to my backlog.

    PS if you load the site on a touch enabled device (instead of using your browser for responsive testing) the event will automatically change to “Click/touch”.

    Hi Tom,

    Thank you for pointing out that the maxmegamenu works on touch on mobile devices. You’re right, I only resized the browser window.

    And thanks for the great plugin – it saved me so many hours of work!
