Thank you for the compliment, but I’m not looking to make money from this plugin. I do, however, want to promote best practices (only include what needs to be included) and advance my skills as a plugin developer, while providing a much needed feature to WordPress.
Essentially, what I’d do is to release all my add-on plugins in the WP repo. That way, users only download what they want. The drawback for me is that there would be many plugins in the repo to manage. I would benefit by having more overall outlets to my work, though. ??
So, my real question to you is, as a user, would you be willing to install many plugins (say, 5) to accomplish needed functionality? Or, would you go for the option to install as few plugins as possible? This is question I’m grappling with here.
I will eventually release some paid plugins through my online marketplace, but that is a future goal and has nothing to do with this project.
Thanks for the thoughts!
On a side note, my wife and I will be traveling to Paris for a week this summer. Do you have any off-the-tourist-path places you might recommend we visit? We travel often, and are overall more interested in interacting with culture than with tourists. ??
We’ll be staying close to the Sorbonne. Please contact me through my website (https://www.dauid.us/contact/) if you have any suggestions.
à votre bon c?ur! (hope I wrote this correctly)
