  • Look at the file permissions for wp-content/uploads folder. If it’s not already 0755 change it to that.

I face same issue but i found a best solution go to cpanel > phpmy admin
    open database make sql query
    SELECT * FROM wp_options WHERE option_name LIKE '%upload_path%'

I have just installed WordPress and am encountering exactly the same error message.
“Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2015/04. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”
Where do I find the ‘file permissions’ that wslade mentioned? There was no ‘upload’ folder in the wp-content folder so I created one, but that didn’t do anything.
I have used WordPress for many years and have never had this problem before.

    Frustrated!
