• Hi guys

I posted this question on the wptouch support page but think that it may also be a good idea to post it here.

I am using the free version of wptouch together with the wp supercache plugin on many of my sites and overall very happy with it. However, I noticed that in some sites I have this problem:

When I delete the cache via the wp supercache plugin and then test my site via the google mobile friendly test tool google recognize all the pages on my site as mobile friendly. However, after few days SOME (usually only few) of the pages are not recognized as mobile friendly anymore and when I test them on the google mobile friendly test tool or in my smartphone they are shown in their regular desktop version. Once I deleted the cache again and test these pages then google recognize them again as mobile friendly ones.

I followed the exact directions on the wptouch support page, added their user agents list to the “Rejected User Agents” area in WP Super Cache, and also disabled the switch between the desktop version and the mobile version via their plugin settings. Any idea what can cause this problem and how to fix it? Should I just give up on the wp supercache plugin and disable it or is there any other solution that can guarantee I won’t have this problem again? Just want to be fully prepared for the next google update…

P.S – Here is the list of user agents I added to the Rejected User Agents area in wp superchace:

    iPhone
    iPod
    Android
    BB10
    BlackBerry
    webOS
    IEMobile/7.0
    IEMobile/9.0
    IEMobile/10.0
    MSIE 10.0
    iPad
    PlayBook
    Xoom
    P160U
    SCH-I800
    Nexus 7
    Touch

And here are my settings in the wp supercahce plugin:

    All of these are checked

Cache hits to this website for quick access. (Recommended)

Use mod_rewrite to serve cache files. (Recommended)

Compress pages so they’re served more quickly to visitors. (Recommended)

Don’t cache pages for known users. (Recommended)

Cache rebuild. Serve a supercache file to anonymous users while a new file is being generated. (Recommended)

Mobile device support. (External plugin or theme required. See the FAQ for further details.)

Clear all cache files when a post or page is published or updated.

Only refresh current page when comments made.

    Cache Timeout 3600 seconds

I also enabled the Preload mode (garbage collection only on legacy cache files. Recommended.) with Refresh preloaded cache files every 10080 minutes.

    Thanks for the help ??
