  • Hi,

you have to use an open graph add-on to inject proper meta description for facebook into your page:

This doesn’t work. I’ve just launched my website and didn’t change anything on my post.
Every sharing post not only doesn’t show the cover picture (it shows the first picture in the actual post) but it also shows the same problem I told you earlier.
I unable the debug mode so you can check it out.
    Thanks.

I checked your website. Use a open graph plugin, either the one we are offering for free https://www.mashshare.net/downloads/mashshare-open-graph/
or use any other third party plugin like Yoast.

After installing open graph on your website make sure to open the facebook debugger and “fetch new scrape information”.

This gets rid of any unwanted strings in the facebook description. There is no other way to do so because facebook is automatically using the websites content when there are no open graph tags in your website.

Please let me know if you need further help.

    Best regards
    René

Thanks for your fast answer ! So one problem is solved as I upload SEO by Yoast. All the description about the shares are gone. ??

But I still have the problem with my cover picture. When I go to the Facebook debugger, it says : “og:image was not defined, could not be downloaded or was not big enough. Please define a chosen image using the og:image metatag, and use an image that’s at least 200x200px and is accessible from Facebook. Image ‘https://www.worldofvoyage.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/DSC03242-1024×680.jpg’ will be used instead.”

The problem is my cover pictures are more than 200×200. The cover pictures for this post is actually 1170 × 585 so I don’t understand where the problem is here.

I actually just found out that it doesn’t support the file .png That’s why it didn’t show correctly. But thank you SO MUCH for your help ??

Oh this is great. I am really glad to hear that:-)

    All the best to you,
    René

    Hello !

I tried to update the plugin but it says the destination folder already exists.

Would you mind to fix the problem please? I really hope this won’t affect the counts of the shares..
As my connexion is terrible here, I cannot access to it, and as I need to fix this problem asap, could you fix this if I give you my ftp details in private?

Thanks so much in advance for your help.

    Hi,

    to solve this:

    Remove the entire folder wp-content/mashsharer

Install again from the plugin repository.

    Your settings will be kept.

    regards,
    René
