Posts don't show up until refresh

  • Hi everyone!

    I hope someone will be able to help me out here, since I’m not that much of a tech-person. My new posts don’t show up on my homepage until I refresh the page, it just loads it exactly the same way it was last time. This also goes for new comments on posts that I get throughout the day – meaning that this is a problem that affects all of the pages on my site, not only the homepage.
    I would like for my entire site to just load the newest version there is, with all of the new posts and comments that have been posted since the last time I opened the page.
    I’ve already checked the cookies in my browser before and that doesn’t seem to be the problem… Help!

    Are you using any sort of caching plugin, or do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard or admin bar? If so, would you please try clearing the cache?

    Note: You do not need to install a caching plugin at this point just to clear a cache you don’t have. If you don’t have a caching plugin or a way to clear a server-level cache, just say so. ??

    I’ve heard that question before! I tried a plugin to clear it back then but that didn’t work. I have no caching plugin currently installed on my site.

    Who is your hosting provider?

    Also, if you clear your browser’s cache, do the posts appear?

    Hi James,

    Sorry about my late response, I’ve been very busy. My hosting provider is antagonist (antagonist.nl) and they do, but only once. After that the same problem occurs.

    Ok, the posts appear, so they exist.

    https://www.lovingbeauty.nl/winactie-cadeaubon-the-make-up-spot-lovingbeauty2jaar/ is the most recent post I currently see. If that is your most recent post, I’m starting to think this may be a browser issue.

    First, please make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting https://whatbrowser.org/

    If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

    If it is, please do these two things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

    2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.
