I building a prototype website for a Church using the Evolve Theme v3.2.2. I am building it locally on my laptop using a WAMP server sandbox, so this site is not currently live. I have installed bbPress and created a couple of Forums each with a single Post and a Reply. However, on the ‘Forums’ screen which lists the two Forums I get the following warning message for each of the two Forums:

Warning: implode(): Invalid arguments passed in C:\wamp\www\Circuit\Evolve\wp-content\plugins\bbpress\includes\replies\template.php on line 1247

Any assistance to resolve this issue would be gratefully received.

  • I’m getting the exact same error. Support has tried to tell me for weeks that I’m the only one experiencing the issue and that it must be bbpress or my wordpress install. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled bbpress with no change and also tested it on a brand new wordpress install but I still get this error.

We are resolving this issue and update will be available soon.

I have come up with a ‘work around’ for this issue, which is basically using another theme for the bbPress part of the site. What I did was to create a sub-domain and install wordpress together with another and more compatible bbPress theme and then link to the bbPress theme using the ‘link’ facility in the Evolve theme menu. This is completely transparent to the site’s users and for me may even be a better solution than using one theme both as the main informational site and as the forum site. Having the all the registered forum users on a separate site may make the administration far simpler.

FYI…I got a test version of evolve 3.2.6 that successfully fixes this issue.

So glad to hear there is a fix. I found at least 5 sites using the theme that had the same error message.

I am really pleased that a fix will shortly be available, but I still may keep my work around since it is working really well in my WAMP sandbox environment and when I put the site in a live environment doesn’t keep all keep all my eggs in the same basket since if I encounter any other problems with the forum area it will not affect the rest of the site.

I have just updated to Evolve 3.2.7 and the problem has gone away, Whoopee! Thanks Jaroslav for sorting this out.

I should have marked the last post as resolved before submitted it. Thanks again for fixing this.
