Single image/video in light box with thumbnail

There is not a short code for displaying a single video (or image), but you can add a single video to a gallery and use that gallery’s short code in your page.

Would it then be possible to change the “thumbnail” to that of say a playicon.jpg i have stored in my media library if i wanted to lightbox a video?

if so, how would i do this?

You could only change the thumbnail by manually editing the gallery’s postmeta record that will have the name of the file for the current thumbnail image. If you find the record it will look like this: s:4:”file”;s:21:”thumbnail-200×200.jpg”; Note that the ’21’ stand for the number of characters in the file name. You will want to change this to the correct number of characters of your new thumbnail file name.

Ah well that goes beyond my technical scope, i was hoping maybe i could call maxgalleria to open a url video/image in a lightbox.

I’m not sure because we working on new add ons but, we can add this to our list of possible enhancements and consider it in the future.
