trying to get table into wordpress page

  • newbie!probably been asked before – but searched and found nothing along line.
    on my site i want to produce a list of links – thumbnails that are linked to other sites. i want to keep everything in order and want to use a table format as i use them in microsoft word
    any ideas on how to do it
    alternatively have seen more in codes section is this the same thing as a table? when tried it, things started going all over the place

  • Install the plugin TinyMCE Advanced. It will allow you to do advanced wysiwyg layouts in your pages and posts which includes tables and alot more features.

    I’m new also, so I tried the wp-table plugin and the tiny-table plugin and when I view the page if it is viewed as a ?p=3 it displays the table, whereas when viewed as a category it is viewed as just text that goes on and on without any formatting and not shown as a table… I tried adding the styles into the main stylesheet and it just ignores the changes .. any clues?
