Hello. I am using the Editor theme by wordpress and I wish to know how I could remove the H1 logo tag from the inner pages and leave H1 logo tag only on my homepage. I am sure I have to change something about the php code into header.php but dont know how to do it. It is little frustrating because my inner pages are having 2 x H1 tags instead of just one – on the page’s title…

    Please help!

    Hi there,

May I ask why you want to change the H1? It’s perfectly valid to have an H1 tag on the logo and post titles, as demonstrated by the Underscores theme by WordPress.

Well I am nut sure is it good for SEO purpose to have two h1 tags, until I found this: https://webdesign.tutsplus.com/articles/the-truth-about-multiple-h1-tags-in-the-html5-era–webdesign-16824

Just interesting what to do now… Any ideas?
    Thx

If you’d like to remove the h1 tags from the inner pages, you’ll need to take a look at the content.php template files and change the h1 to something else. There are multiple content.php templates, so look through them all to make sure you get them all.

Well I hope you undestand my point of view. I think it is better to have h1 tag on the logo image but only on homepage, so the rest of the content on the homepage will be h2,h3 etc.. Then the inner pages should have page title h1 but not h1 on the logo… So, can you share some instructions and how to do that…

    Thanks:)
