    ^^BUMP^^

Anyone? No matter where I add a shortcode or widget and set limits, it will always display every upcoming event.

Please – No bumping allowed in the forums.

Please provide a link to your site so we can see what is happening

We are working on a new version of the plugin and will address issues

I have tested this myself and it works. As you haven’t provided a link I will mark this as resolved.

Sorry…I never seemed to see the original message. Here is a URL that is showing every outstanding event even though I chose 6 max to display.

You aren’t using the shortcode in the widget. You are using the widget that comes with The Event Calendar Plugin.

You need to replace the widget with a visual editor widget (Black Studio Tiny MCE widget plugin) and then put in the shortcode that you used to use [ecs-list-events limit=’4′ thumb=’true’]

Thanks for that info. I installed the (Black Studio Tiny MCE widget plugin) as you and added the following shortcode:

    [ecs-list-events limit=’10’ order=’DESC’ viewall=’true’]

However, it still displays all the events and loses the CSS coding that the Event Calendar Widget originally displayed to match.

I’ve tested this repeatedly and the limit works. Can you try a number smaller than 10 and see if that makes a difference?

Can you check that your quotes aren’t curly quotes?

The plugin doesn’t add styling. You will need to add your own css.
Events are listed in ul li tags with appropriate classes for styling.

    • ul class=”ecs-event-list”
    • li class=”ecs-event”
    • event title link is H4 class=”entry-title summary”
    • date class is time
    • venue class is venue
    • span .ecs-all-events
    • p .ecs-excerpt
