    First let me thank you for creating this plugin. It works great and runs very efficiently. I am interested in having a download link automatically display somehow without having to manually add one each time a pdf is added to a post. Is this a planned feature for the future or are you able to assist in me setting that up?

  • Thank you for your message and your kind words! I’m really pleased you like the plugin.

    An optional download button is something that we would like to add in the future, and is definitely on our list. However, I’m not able to give any firm timelines at the moment I’m afraid. We will do our best!

    It sounds like you know the work around – add your own direct link to the PDF after each embed – but there is no way to automate that at the moment.

    A Download button is now available in the Premium version of the plugin – I hope it is useful to some of you.

    Sorry that we have decided not to add it to the free version. We aim to keep a balance so that we can continue to develop and support a free version which the majority of people can use happily, and do this we sometimes need to simplify the functionality set – and of course to encourage some ‘power users’ to purchase the premium versions in order to fund support and development.
